Question by Cara D: Help! I have oily/spot prone skin. Do I turn to mineral make-up or not?
I’ve had bad skin since i was young and also have polycystic ovaries.
I’ve spent so much over the years just trying to find a foundation that gives me medium or full coverage that doesn’t make me look more greasy.
I’ve been reading answers and most people are saying use mineral foundation. I was planning on going out and buying the Bare Escentuals mineral foundation in fairly light but after reading up on it I’ve had second thoughts.
Does it really make your skin itchy and does it make your skin look more oily? My skin is no wear near perfect and has red patches and acne scarring.
A lot of people seem to say Maybelline dream matte moose but to be honest I think it’s way to orange for me and doesn’t give me enough coverage and slides off.
The only foundation I’ve used I can truly say stays on is Estee Lauder double wear foundation in bone (the woman at the boots counter tested it on my face and gave me shell but I think it’s just a little to tanned for me and makes me look orange) which I apply with a foundation brush but because the summer is coming up I feel it’s a little to heavy to wear all the time.
I’ve only tried one mineral foundation and it was Revlon color stay mineral which I thought was ok but only ever used to put on top of my make-up to make it look less dewy.
I’ve been using Avene cleanance soap free gel cleanser, Clearasil Ultra deep pore treatment wash and Garnier pureactive deep pore unclogging wash but I can’t make up my mind what to stick to. I think Clearasil was amazing when I first used it but like many products I’ve used my skin gets used to it and the spots pop back.
I’ve tried topical solutions like zineryt and about 3 others which I found worked but the spots popped back once again and often made my skin dry out to much but the spots stayed. I found zineryt extremely good though even if the smell was disgusting.
I also use Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel (pricey and not that good and have also tried the 3 step’s for oily skin and they are not worth it at all and very pricey)
I’m on the pill at the moment. Could this also be contributing to my spots as well?
I’m pretty skint at the moment and can’t afford to go and buy loads of new products.

Thanks so so much if you could give me some advice! :)

okay so first off you have very oily skin the only way to really reduce that is to take a makeup brush after youve applied your moisturizer and primer and dip your brush into pure corn starch the corn starch actually acts like a protective layer or you can go to http://www.funhousetheatricalcostumes.com/kry-5705.html and it is a product called kryolan which is used for the models during long photoshoots and this stuff really works just apply it where your skin is oily i hope this works
